Two well-known, culturally compatible general contractors joined forces to form a joint venture, not just for a single project, Blinderman Construction and Power Construction were in this for the long-term.
They knew they had a secret sauce already between Blinderman’s exceptional past performance with many Federal Agencies and Power’s century-long experience and industry-leading approaches such as early-contractor involvement and digital twins. This joint venture knew they needed to share their success stories and highlight their value proposition clearly and effectively to compete in the federal marketplace. They needed to highlight why they were different from the competition and what makes them a long-term partner with each client.
They needed to define the messaging of their new entity – what makes BlindermanPower stronger together than each firm alone? They needed to build consensus on their core values and develop content messaging pillars to provide consistency of the message in proposals, on their websites, in marketing materials, and in 1:1 meetings.
Bringing our expertise in Federal Contracting and General Construction, Andana Consulting led the joint venture through our Brand Strategy Workshop.
- We customized our Brand Strategy workshop starting with our brand questionnaire and pre-workshop virtual session. We learned the joint venture brand had strength, energy, vision, and purpose. From there it was our job to lead the in-person workshop to clearly define the joint venture brand and gain clarity on the market position within the Federal Marketing. Through SWOT Analysis, Audience and Market discussion, Messaging and Differentiators activities, lightbulbs went off and messaging became clear.
- After the workshop Andana distilled the information, reviewed the buyers journey, , we presented the Brand Guidebook, complete with the positioning statement, core values, messaging pillars, and target audience personas. This document provided the messaging and baseline for BlindermanPower’s content and marketing messages.
As we wrapped up the workshop materials, opportunities came knocking. Andana collaborated with BlindermanPower to implement this content strategy on strategic proposal responses, resulting in awarded contracts to the joint venture team.
